Version 1.1 · effective 1 November 2026

1. About this policy

  1. This policy is published by Checky Pro B.V. and forms part of our agreement with you from the moment you sign the Merchant Agreement, as set out in article 13 of our Terms of Service. Capitalised terms have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service.
  2. It lists the products, services and activities that may not be sold through Payments (Prohibited), and those that may only be sold with our prior written approval (Approval required).
  3. The examples in each category are not exhaustive. Where a product, service or activity is comparable to one listed, it is treated in the same way.

  5. The acquiring partners we work with apply their own lists in addition to this policy. Where an acquiring partner is stricter, the stricter rule applies, and a payment method may be unavailable for your Store even where this policy allows what you sell.

3. Approval required

The following may only be sold through Payments with our prior written approval, given per Store. We may ask for evidence before we decide, and we may attach conditions to an approval.

  1. Jewellery and watches with a sale price above € 2,500 per item, where we may ask for evidence of origin and of your right to sell the brands concerned.
  2. Resale of designer and luxury brand goods, where we ask for evidence that the goods are authentic, such as dealer agreements or purchase invoices.
  3. Alcoholic beverages, where we ask how you verify the buyer's age and which licences you hold in the countries you sell to.
  4. Food supplements and cosmetics without health or performance claims. With such claims they are prohibited under article 2.7.
  5. Subscriptions and other recurring payments, where we check how the price, the renewal and the cancellation are presented to the buyer.
  6. Pre-orders, and goods with a delivery time of more than 30 days after payment.
  7. Gift cards and vouchers issued by you for use in your own Store. Gift cards and stored value of third parties are prohibited under article 2.10.
  8. Digital products, including downloads, software licences, online courses and in-game items.
  9. Tickets for events you organise yourself. Resale of tickets is prohibited under article 2.15.
  10. Sex toys and other adult goods, provided that your website shows no nudity or sexually explicit images, that the products are lawful in every country you sell to, and that they are not fetish products.

4. Requesting approval

  1. You request approval in the Dashboard before you start selling the product or service concerned, either in the Store application or later for an existing Store.
  2. An approval is valid only for the Store, the products and the conditions stated in it. It is not approval of a broader category.
  3. We may refuse an approval without giving a commercial reason. We may withdraw it with notice, and with immediate effect where an acquiring partner, a Card Scheme or a competent authority requires it, or where you do not meet the conditions attached to it.
  4. Approval by us does not mean that an acquiring partner will accept you or offer every payment method for those products. The acquiring partner decides that.
  5. An approval is not advice that your products or your way of selling them comply with the law. That remains your responsibility, as set out in article 14 of the Terms of Service.

5. If this policy is breached

  1. Where you sell anything prohibited by this policy, or anything requiring approval without having it, we may take the measures in article 31 (Suspension) and article 33 (Termination by us) of the Terms of Service.
  2. Where the breach concerns goods that infringe intellectual property rights, the compliance fee in article 5.3 of the Merchant Agreement applies.
  3. An acquiring partner may take its own measures, and may report a merchant to a Card Scheme alert list, as described in article 34.4 of the Terms of Service.

6. Changes to this policy

  1. We may amend this policy. We announce an amendment at least 30 days before it takes effect. An amendment takes effect immediately where an acquiring partner, a Card Scheme, a supervisory authority or the law requires it, as set out in article 13.2 of the Terms of Service.
  2. Where an amendment means that something you already sell is no longer allowed, we tell you what you need to change and by when.
  3. The version in force is the one published on our website, with its version number and date.
